To Play Music at an Xbox Live party, you need to create a dummy account on Xbox.com. Notably, your dummy account would be where you will play the music.
Once you have successfully created an account on Xbox, you need open up the Xbox app on your PC. Notably, this trick will only work on Windows 10.
Now, you need to log in to the Xbox App using the dummy account.
Now, you need to visit a website called Vb-audio.com. After visiting the site, you need to click on the Download button to download the driver.
Once the driver is downloaded, open up the download folder and extract all files into a specific folder.
Once extracted, open that folder and click on the Setup file to begin the installation process.
Once VD Audio is installed on your PC, now head back to the Xbox App and click on the Gear icon located on the left side of the screen.
After clicking on it, you need to scroll down a bit and then select Cable Input as ‘VB-Audio Virtual Cable’ and Microphone Cable Output as ‘VB-Audio Virtual Cable’.
Once done, open up your PC Settings window and then choose your Output device as Cable Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) and Input Device as Cable Output (VB-Autio Virtual Cable).
Once you have everything set up, now launch the Xbox app and create a Party with your Primary account.
Once you have joined the Live Party, launch Spotify and any other application you use to listen to a song.
Once launched, now play your favorite music. When you do so, your Primary account will light up, which means the music is playing in Xbox Live Party.
Make sure you have everybody mute on your Xbox Primary account to avoid echo.
