Are you looking for a MapleStory Class tier list? If your answer is YES then you are in the right place.
MapleStory is a free-to-play, 2D, side-scrolling MMORPG. You can travel across Maple World in the game to defeat monsters and develop the skills and abilities of their characters. In addition, you can also chat and trade with other players in the game.
An important aspect of the game is the class that you choose when you start the game. Each class has its own unique abilities. However, with so many classes to choose from, the choice can be a bit difficult.
This is why we have divided all Maplestory classes in the game from S to D tier based on their performance in the game.
Keep in mind our Maplestory class Tier list is based on personal opinion and our experience with the game. We recommend players to experiment with different classes to see which one suits their gameplay style the best.
That being said, let us take a look at the MapleStory Tier list below.
MapleStory Tier List (2024) – All Classes Ranked
While each class has its own set of abilities, there are some classes that perform better in the game compared to others. This MapleStory Tier List ranks all classes from S tier to D tier depending on their performance in the game.
Let us take a look.
S Tier
This tier has the best classes that MapleStory can provide. You will be able to progress throughout the game with these characters. This means that they will not become trivial once the game approaches completion.
You should prioritise unlocking and upgrading these classes. The more you focus on growing their potential, the more powerful they will become. If you unlock their full power, these classes are indispensable in the game.
- Blaster
- Adele
- Fire Poison Mage
- Cadena
A Tier
These classes may not be as over-powered as the S Tier but they are still great for making significant progress through the game.
If you don’t have an S Tier class, these will serve you well. You can choose to upgrade these classes till you haven’t acquired an S Tier class.
- Evan
- Hoyoung
- Kinesis
- Demon Slayer
- Aran
- Zero
- Hero
- Dawn Warrior
- Thunder Breaker
- Illium
- Kanna
- Ark
- Corsair
- Angelic Buster
- Night Walker
B Tier
These classes are quite average in the long game but are also the most common classes to find. However, they will become redundant once you have progressed ahead in the game.
You will eventually want to switch them for a higher-tier class. They are good for understanding the game and getting through the early part of the game though.
However, there is not much use in upgrading these classes as they do not last very long in the game.
- Hayato
- Shadower
- Battle Mage
- Ice Lightning Mage
- Mechanic
- Pathfinder
- Buccaneer
- Dark Knight
- Cannoneer
- Lara
- Kaiser
- Jett
- Luminous
- Marksman

C Tier
These classes may be good for certain aspects of the game but they do not provide enough value to certify as a useful class.
You might want to switch them out for more valuable classes as soon as you can.
- Xenon
- Night Lord
- Kain
- Beast Tamer
- Shade
- Mihile
- Blaze Wizard
- Wind Archer
- Bow Master
- Dual Blade
- Mercedes
D Tier
These are just some of the worst classes available in the game. They should be switched out as soon as possible because they will not serve you well at any point in the game.
Unlike C Tier classes, these classes often do not serve niche uses either.
- Wild Hunter
- Bishop
- Demon Avenger
- Phantom
- Paladin
