Since Tekken 8 is an upcoming game, we would recommend that players experiment with different characters once it gets out. There could be a lot of changes in the game when it is released.
This tier list is only going by the brief glimpse we have gotten of the game so far. The characters are ranked from S tier to D tier based on their performance.
S Tier
These are the most exceptional characters in the game. They can deal high damage and put you ahead of the curve in the game.
Hworang
This character is one of the best in the game if you learn to use his fighting stances to your advantage. Moreover, you can really benefit from the Heat Mode with this character as it can be used till the energy bar runs out.
You will get a good amount of damage with this character’s combo moves.
Claudio
This is a good character to begin the game with. He is hard to defeat because his attacks are tough to counter with blocks. Moreover, his moves can deal a lot of chip damage on block when in Heat Mode. His damage dealing capacity makes him a great character to have.
Jack
Jack can deal enormous amounts of damage and he can also deal a lot of chip damage with his attacks in Heat. He can be the black sheep in the game who takes us all by surprise.
Bryan
While Bryan can be a little unpredictable to play, this quality can work in your favor if you learn to harness it. His punches can deal a lot of damage.
Jun
Jun can boost her attacks by using her health as fuel. This ability is very useful when you are fighting opponents in close range. Her character has gotten a few new moves since we last saw her.
A Tier
These are strong characters that will be an asset for your collection.
Kazuya
This character can take some getting used to but once you have learnt to control him, he is a very strong character. You will get high-damage combos and some excellent Heat attacks.
Paul
This character is not as fast-paced as the other options on this list. However, his punches can lead to some serious damage and he can use the Heat Rush to extend his combos.
However, this character can struggle against speedy opponents.
King
There is a lot of potential with this character. His damage is quite high and he also has armor for some of his moves. In addition, his counter-hit game can make all the difference between a victory and a loss.
His Heat Pressure is also quite exceptional. However, his moves can be risky.
Jin
If you are looking for a well-balanced character that benefits from the Heat mode, Jin is your pick. He deals a good amount of damage and his pokes are fast and safe.
B Tier
These are average performers who can carry the game but will not dazzle you with brilliance.
