Before finding the keypad password, you need to start the All Hallows Eve quest.
After the next-gen update, a new quest will be added to the game that you will see in your log.
To start this quest, you need to pull up your Pip-Boy then scroll to the Radio tab and tune in to the new Mysterious Signal broadcast.
Now wait until the signal source is found. Once the signal is watched by Pip-Boy it will place a marker on your map in Boston, to the east of Diamond City, so make your way there.
Once you reach the location, you will see a Harbormaster Hotel. Head inside the hotel and follow the marker.
Once you are inside, go inside a door on your left to enter the New England Technocrat Society.
As you enter the main room a choking gas starts releasing in the room and several feral ghouls will emerge to start attacking you.
On your right head upstairs and go along the balcony, where you’ll clear the damaging effect of the gas and can pick off the ghouls.
Once you defeat the first way of ghouls, the boss “Mr Wendt” will spawn that can resurrect the other ghouls you previously defeated.
So you have to eliminate the boss and ghouls very quickly otherwise he will give you a tough time.

With the ghouls defeated, you will find the short hallway with four numbered doors, followed by another locked door and a keypad.
Now, find the Dr Santiago, one of the ghouls you defeated with a Jack O’Lantern mask on.
Once you find the Dr Santiago, remove the mast and put it on yourself.
Next, follow the quest marker to Lana’s Notes. then read the notes to get some clues to the password.
