Android:
- Launch the Messenger app on your Android device.
- Tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) at the top-left corner to open the menu.
- Scroll down and select the “Settings” icon.
- In the Settings menu, tap on “Active Status.”
- Turn on the toggle next to the “Show when you are active” option.
iPhone:
- Open the Facebook Messenger app on your iPhone.
- Tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) at the top-left corner to open the menu.
- Scroll down and select “Settings.”
- In the Settings menu, tap on “Active Status.”
- Turn on the toggle next to the “Show when you’re active” option.
- You can also enable the toggle next to “Show when you’re active together” option to see when your friends are active in the same chat.
Web:
If you are using web browser on desktop, follow the steps below:
- Visit Messenger on the web and sign in using your Facebook account details.
- Click on your account picture at the bottom-left corner to open your profile menu.
- Select “Preferences.”
- In the Preferences menu, click on “Active Status.”
- Enable the toggle to activate your active status.
After following these steps, your active status will be activated on Messenger, and your friends will be able to see when you’re online and active.
Restart Messenger App:
