Check The Deadline
- Ensure you are within the specified time frame for choice locking.
- Check the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) for any announcements or revised schedules regarding the choice locking process.
- Double-check your choices to ensure they align with your desired colleges and courses.
- Check if you have filled out all required choices and preferences as per the counselling guidelines.
- Ensure your choices are arranged in the correct order of priority.
Check Server Status
- Sometimes, the website server may be overloaded due to high traffic, causing delays or malfunctions.
- Visit the official MCC website or social media pages to check if there is any server problem.
- The servers may be down due to high user traffic. Wait till the traffic subsides.

Difference Between Choice Filling and Choice Locking?
Choice locking means finalising your list of courses and colleges. Once locked, your list cannot be changed.
Choice filling means selecting colleges and courses. Users can select multiple options.
The choice-filling process was for the first three rounds only. However, from 2024 it is applicable till the final round.
Choice Filling Process For NEET UG Counselling 2025?
Here is how users can complete the NEET 2025 choice filling and locking process. P
- Complete the registration process.
- Pay the fee for registration.
- Visit the official website of MCC.
- Tap on the New Registration tab.
- Click on Sign in.
- Enter NEET UG 2025 Roll Number and Password.
- Also, add the Security Pin.
- Click on the link ‘Available Choices’.
- Tap on the “Choice Filling” icon.
- A list of choices as per individual criteria of eligibility would be displayed.
- Tap on the choice you prefer.
- It will be selected.
- Candidates need to click on the ‘Save & Continue’ tab.
The choices will be displayed as a preference of choices. One can change the order by clicking on the Upper Arrow ./button to move up, the Down Arrow button to move down, and the Delete button to delete the pre-selected choice of institutes.
If you wish to delete your choice, click on the appropriate box and delete. If you wish to delete multiple choices, click the appropriate boxes, and the unwanted choices will be deleted.
Choice Locking Process
- Lock in the choices post-choice filling:
- Learners need to tap on the Choice Lock Button.
- Confirm the same, and the choices will be locked.
- Remember, Choices once locked can’t be unlocked.
- Therefore, do choose carefully.
If the user has failed to lock choices. The choices will be automatically locked on the last day of submission.
Tips:
- The Lock Choice button will only be active on the notified dates.
- Click on the Lock Choice button. A list of submitted choices will be shown. Select and Save.
- During the locking process, enter the password to see the locking choices.
- After you finish locking in choices, a message will be displayed: “Your Filled Choices have been Locked Successfully.
- Take a printout of locked choices.
- After taking the printout, press the LOGOUT Button.
