This problem starts appearing after the release of a new update. Because this new update comes with anty cheat you won’t be able to install and use mods using the old method.
If you want to use the mods in the Marvel Rivals game then you need to install them using a new method that allows you to use mods in this new update.
Below we have mentioned steps that you can use to install mods in the Marvel Rivals and fix the Marvel Rivals Mods not working problem.
Step 1: Extract Game .PAK Files
Before you start installing the mods you can first extract the PAK files of the game.
To do so, we are using a tool called FMode. To install this tool and extract the PAK files of the Marvel Rivals game, use the steps written below:
- Open the web browser and go to https://fmodel.app/.
- Once you are here, click “Download Now”.
- It will start downloading the FModel file.
- Once the download is completed, extract the file.
- Now, open the extracted folder and double-click on the FModel exe file.

- This will launch the FModel and you will see a small window.
- Here, click on the “Directory” option and select your Marvel Rivals game directory where the PAK files are.
- After that, click on the “UE Version” option and select “Game_MarvelRivals (GAME_UE5.3)”.

- Once done, click “OK”.
- Now, close all the windows.
- Now, you need to download the DLL file.
- For that go to https://www.dllme.com/dll/files/oo2core_9_win64/07b7af8cd3b65fda5ad65bf1f40b2d92/download.
- Here, select “Continue to Download” and then “Start Download”.
- This will start downloading the DLL file.
- Now, extract this DLL file and copy the file inside.
- After that, open the FModel Output folder and paste this file inside it.
- Once done, launch the FModel tool again and update it if asked.
- After it is done, you will see all the PAK files of the game.
- Next, go to https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=100672.
- Here you will see AES Keys for various games.
- Find the AES Key for the Marvel Rivals game and copy it.
- Now, go back to the FModel and select Directory > AES.

- This will open a pop-up window where paste the key that you just copied.

- Click “OK” and you will access all the PAK files of the game.
- From these files, select the “pakchankCharacter_Windows.pak” file.
- Then click on the “Loading Mode” and select “Multiple”.

- Now, click Load and it will create a Marvel Flder.
- After that, right-click on the “Marvel” folder and select “Export”.

Step 2: Replace Unpacked Files with PAK
Once you export the PAK file of the Marvel Rivals game you can replace the unpacked files with the exported PAK file.
Here is how you can do so:
- First, open the Output folder of the FModel.
- Then select the “Exports” folder.
- Here you will see the exported “Marvel” folder.
- Now, move this Marvel folder inside the Marvel Rivals installation directory.
- To do so, go to the Marvel Rivals directory and select the “MarvelGame” folder.
- Now, copy the exported Marvel folder and paste it here.

- Once done, you need to delete the Original PAK files.
- To do so, go to MarvelRivals\MarvelGame\Marvel\Content\PAK.
- Here select the “pakchankCharacter_Windows.pak” file and delete it.

Step 3: Install Mods
Once you replaced the unpacked files you can now start downloading the mods.
To download the mods use the steps written below:
- First, download the Mod file that you want to install.
- For that, you can go to https://www.nexusmods.com/marvelrivals/mods/814.
- Here you can find all the mod files for the Marvel Rivals game.
- Download any mod file you want.
- After downloading the mod file, extract it and you will see multiple options.
- Because these mod files are in the “.PAK” extension and use you need to unpack them like you did before.
- To unpack these mod files, open the FModel.
- Now, go to “Directory” and select “Selector”.
- Under the Directory, select the location where your mod file is saved.
- Then set the “UE Version” as “GAME_MarvelRivals” just like you do before.
- Once it’s done, click OK.
- After that, the FModel will restart and load the PAK file.
- Now, select that PAK file and click “Load”.
- Then click on the “Settings” option at the top.

- Under the settings window, select the “General” tab.
- Now, click on the “Output Directory” option, create and select a new folder somewhere on your PC.

- Once done, right-click on the “Marvels” folder and select “Export”.

- Now, go to the location where you have exported this folder.
- Once you find the exported “Marvel” folder copy it.
- After that, go to the Marvel Rivals installation directory and select the “MarvelGame” folder.
- Here, paste the folder that you just copied.
- It will ask you to replace it, click OK.
