Water Level Too High
If the water level inside the drum the drum is high you need to run a drain-only cycle and drain the water from the drum.
- Press the Power button to turn on the washer.
- Press on the Spin button repeatedly and select the desired spin speed.
- Press Start/Pause button to begin.
- This step will activate the drain-only function. As soon as the water has drained, stop the cycle and the door will unlock.
You can manually drain the washer. Unplug the drain hose located behind the access panel.
Water Temperature Too Hot

- Take some nylon string and slide it into the seam where your door meets the machine at the lock.
- Work the string around the door and then tie the end of the string in a knot.
- Tie the line on the side opposite to the lock.
- Grab the string by the knot and pull it carefully away from the door. This is to be done at an angle parallel to the front of the machine.
- Continue to apply pressure till a clicking sound is heard. Now hold the string in your hand and try opening the door.
Here are some more steps to solve the issue:
- Press the pause button to stop the cycle. Wait for a couple of minutes to see if the door unlocks.
- Turn the washing machine off and unplug it wait 5-10 minutes. Check if the door opens.
