Trading In Manor Lords

To Trade in Manor Lords, you will need to follow these steps:

Build a Trading Post: 

  • To begin trading in Manor Lords, you need to construct either a Trading Post. 
  • The Trading Post handles items and materials.
  • This is the central structure for all your trading activities. 
  • Make sure it’s connected to your city’s roads for accessibility.

Select Trade Tab: 

  • Click on the Trading Post and navigate to the ‘Trade’ tab to see the list of goods you can import or export
How To Trade In Manor Lords

Set Desired Surplus: 

  • Decide how much of a particular good you want to have in stock and set that number as your Desired Surplus.
  • Adjust the Desired Surplus of each item to determine how much you want to buy or sell.

Choose Trade Rule: 

Use the dropdown menu to set up a Trade Rule for each good. 

You can choose to never trade, import, export, or set up full trade.

How To Trade In Manor Lords
  • Never Trade: Choose this if there’s a good you never want to trade.
  • Import: Select this to import the chosen good until the Desired Surplus is reached.
  • Export: Choose this to sell the selected good until the Desired Surplus is reached.
  • Full Trade: This option automates the import/export process, adjusting based on your Desired Surplus.

Manage Trade: 

Monitor your trades to ensure you are gaining Regional Wealth and that your township has enough supplies, especially during winter.

While importing goods can be more expensive than exporting them, you can still increase your Regional Wealth through trade. 

Here are some tips:

  • Export goods that are easy to produce, such as Eggs, which require minimal resources.
  • Export surplus materials taking up storage space to free up room in your warehouses.
  • Differentiate between Minor Trades (easily produced goods) and Major Trades (more complex, processed goods) when setting up Trade Routes.
  • Establish Trade Routes to facilitate regular imports/exports. 
  • You can purchase Trade Routes in the Trade menu, and a traveling merchant will visit your town monthly.
  • Consider investing in the trading section of the Developmental Upgrades tech tree to enhance your trading capabilities. 
  • Look for options like Trade Logistics and Better Deals to reduce costs and import prices.
