To set up and use Horizon Emulator on Android, follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Download and Install The Horizon Emulator
First, you need to download and install the Horizon Emulator. To do so, use the steps written below:
- Open your web browser and search for the Horizon Emulator.
- This will show you multiple results.
- Now, select the official GitHub page of the Horizon Emulator.
- Once you are here, scroll down and select the latest version of the Horizon Emulator.
- After that, tap on the APK file and it will start downloading.
- Wait for the downloading process to be completed and tap on the APK file.
- From the appearing menu, select “Install”.
- When you do so, it will start installing the Horizon Emulator.
- Now, follow the on-screen instructions and complete the installation.

Step 2: Set Up Horizon Emulator
Once you successfully download and install the Horizon Emulator, you can start configuring the settings and complete the setup.

- First, open the Horizon Emulator.
- Once open, go to the Download tab at the bottom of your screen and select the Update All option.
- Here, select the Script version you want to download.
- Once downloaded, go to “Settings” by tapping on the Gear Icon from the bottom.
- Within the settings tab, select the “X11 Settings” option.
- Under this option, set the “Screen Resolution Mode” as Custom and the “Screen Resolution” at 960×540.
- Now, enable the “Stretch to fit display” option by tapping on the toggle button.
- Once done, go to the “Container” tab and select the “Create a new container” button.
- This will open a pop-up window, enter the container name.
- Once entered, click “Confirm”.
- This will take you to the “Container Settings” page.
- Here, enter the following settings:
- Box64: 24.04.2024
- DXVK driver: async-1.10.3
- Turnip driver: v6.5, v8 or v9
- Vkd3d driver: 2.13
- D8vk driver: 1.0
- Directx dlls: native
- Once set, click on Done.
- Now, click on the Three Dots at the container profile that you just created and select “Open”.
- That’s it.
Once you open the container profile, it will start loading the Windows. This will take some time when you boot it for the first time, so be patient and wait for the booting process to be completed.
