Once you are at the deck area, you will find an NPC fishing here.
Go ahead and talk to this NPC and he will give you a fishing rod. Purchase this fishing rod by spending in-game currency.
If you try to purchase bait from this NPC, it will give you a quest that you need to complete before you purchase the bait from him.
To complete this quest, you need to catch a total of 5 Fish in the game.

So, take a fishing rod from this NPC at the deck area and start fishing to complete the quest.
In Rune Slayer, catching fish is very easy. All you need to do is equip the fishing rod.
Now, go near the water and simply click. When you do so, your character will throw the line into the water.
