The AltServer application allows AltStore to sideload apps onto your device. But the AltStore and the AltServer need to be on the same WiFi network. However many users have complained about the ‘Could Not Find AltServer error on their device.

Could Not Find AltServer Error – Fixes
If you are facing the could not find AltServer error then the AltStore is having trouble discovering AltServer on your local network. Make sure that AltServer and AltStore are connected to the same WiFi network. You can also try to connect your device to your computer via USB.
You will face the error if you have installed iTunes or iCloud from the Microsoft Store. To fix it you’ll need to uninstall your iTunes or iCloud now go to the Apple store and download the latest versions of iTunes or iCloud and see if the issue is fixed.
Sometimes working on a public network can also lead to could not find AltServer error. Disconnect your devices from that WiFI network to fix the error. Now try to use your mobile data and check if the issue is resolved.
Run as Administrator
You can also select Run as Administrator by right-clicking on Altserver.
- Press Windows + S and type Altserver in the search bar.
- Right-click on the application icon
- Click on Run as administrator.
- Go to the User Account Control prompt and click Yes.
- Run the application.
- Check if the Could Not Find AltServer issue is resolved.
Disable Firewall
Your firewall might be blocking incoming connections to AltServer.
- Open the Start menu.
- Type Windows Security.
- Press Enter.
- Tap on Firewall & and network protection.
- Click on Private Network.
- Disable toggle under Firewall.
- Tap on OK to save changes.
- Restart your computer to apply the changes.
- Once done, try launching AltServe again.
Click on the Trust prompt on your Mac and iOS device after connecting your device to your Mac. Check by opening Finder or iTunes with your device connected to your Mac. If you see a dialogue box asking if you want to trust the device. You need to confirm by tapping on Trust. The issue will be resolved.

Open your desktop browser and go to the AltStore app page.
Download the AltServer app.

Windows – Click on the AltServer icon and place the mouse cursor over the option for Install AltStore; choose your device
Mac – Go to the Toolbar and tap on AltStore > Install AltStore. Next, Click on your device from the list.
As soon as AltStore has been installed, you can start installing apps by enabling Wi-Fi Sync in iTunes or connecting your device and using AltServer to install the apps.
