Adding Custom Songs In Geometry Dash
If you want to change the background song in Geometry Dash and want to add custom songs then you can do it by using the steps written below.
Step 1: Download The Song
Before you start changing the background song in Geometry Dash, the first thing you need to do is download the song.
You can download the song from any website or platform. While downloading the song that you want to add in Geometry Dash, make sure the file is in MP3 format.
Step 2: Find The Song ID
As I mentioned above, Geometry Dash plays different songs in the background depending on which level you are playing.
Each level has different songs and each level has a different Song ID.
To change the background song, you need to find the Song ID of the specific level on which you want to add a customized song.

To find the Song ID in Geometry Dash, follow the steps written below:
- First, open Steam.
- Then go to the Library.
- Now, find Geometry Dash and launch it.
- Once the game is launched, click on the Settings option.

- Under the settings, select the “Search” option.

- Then search for the level in which you want to change the song.
- Once you find the level, select it.

- Here, you will find the Song ID of this level.

- Copy the Song ID and write it somewhere.
- After that, click on the Download option to download the song.

- That’s it.
Step 3: Add Custom Song
Once you find the Song ID of the level on which you want to add a custom song, the next step is to add the custom song to the game.
To do so, use the steps written below:
- Open the File Explorer on your device.
- Then go to your Local Disk (C:) > Users > (User Name) > AppData.
- Under AppData, select the Local folder.

- Here, find and select the “GeometryDash” folder.

- Under the game folder, look for the Song ID for the level on which you want to add a custom song.

- Once you find the song, delete it.
- Now, copy the downloaded song that you want to add to the game and paste it into this folder.
- Once pasted, rename the song name with the Song ID you noted earlier.

- Once renamed, save the file and close the window.
- Now, launch the Geometry Dash game and play the same level.
- This time it will play the custom song you have added to the game.
- That’s it.
