Is your 2XKO Controller not working? Are you facing an issue with the 2XKO Controller? Do not worry, as in this guide, we shall share step-by-step solutions to fix the issue to get you back in the game.

2XKO is an upcoming free-to-play fighting game. The game has characters from League of Legends. 2XKO is developed by Riot Games and the 2XKO closed beta starts on September 9, 2025.

If you are facing the 2XKO Controller not working issue, then here is how to fix it.

Without any further ado, let’s get started:

2XKO Controller Not Working Reasons:

If your controller is not working in 2XKO when the game loads up, preventing you from playing the game, it could be due to software conflicts with Steam, outdated drivers, or incorrect in-game settings.

2XKO Controller Not Working Fixes:

The first step in fixing the issue is to check that the controller is fully charged and connected to your PC or console.

The next step is to reboot the devices. Turn off your controller and the PC for a few seconds and turn them on again.

Reset the controller to fix the issue. Remove the battery from the controller. Next, wait for a few seconds and reinsert the batteries. Check if the problem is fixed.

Fix Controller In Game

  • Launch 2XKO and go to the training mode.
  • Navigate to the button configuration menu.
  • Click on “Pad A” to initialise your controller.
  • Check if the issue is fixed.

Adjust In-Game Controller Settings

  • Launch 2XKO.
  • Go to the Training Mode.
  • Access Button Config/Controller Mappings.
  • Select “Pad B” to reset.
  • Re-detect your controller.

Disable Steam Input

Steam’s controller settings can also conflict with 2XKO.

  • Open the Steam application.
  • Go to Settings > Controller.
  • Toggle off all Steam Input-related options.

For PlayStation Controllers.

  • Select “Not Enabled” from the menu.
  • Exit the Steam application.
  • Right-click the icon in the system tray.
  • Tap on “Exit”.

Restart 2XKO.

  • Launch through Steam.
  • Add the Riot Games Launcher as a “Non-Steam Game”.
  • Go to your Steam Library.
  • Tap on Games and next on Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library.
  • In your Steam Library, launch the Riot Games Launcher.
  • Open 2XKO from the Riot client.

Customise the controller layout in Steam to get it working correctly.

Check for Conflicting Software

Some applications(vJoy Virtual Joystick) can interfere with game controllers. Uninstall them to fix the issue.

If you are using other controllers or optical keyboards, unplug them.

Unplug and re-plug the controllers in the PlayStation.

  • Remember, unplugging controllers on PlayStation at the wrong time can lead to a soft lock.
  • Therefore, if you unplug a controller in a lobby, you may lose menu control.
  • Avoid plugging in or unplugging controllers during character select, as this can cause the game to soft-lock.
  • To fix the issue, try to plug the same number of controllers back in.

If none of the above steps help fix the issue, then try to check the official 2XKO support page to fix it.

Hope the above fixes have helped fix the issue.
